Dental emergencies can be scary, especially when there's pain or a knocked-out tooth. When you need emergency dental services in Middletown, NJ, Dr. Pradeep Sukumar and his team are here to help.

It's also less stressful when you know what to do during a dental emergency, so here are some helpful tips.

A Lost or Broken Dental Crown or Filling

If you have an old dental restoration that breaks or falls out, it may or may not cause discomfort. However, either way, it's essential to treat your tooth quickly to prevent root exposure or other damage to your tooth.

A Knocked-Out Tooth

This is a situation in which time is of the essence. Dr. Sukumar has the best chance of saving your tooth the quicker we can treat it, so contact our Middletown dental office right away.

Bring your tooth to us gently, being careful not to touch it too much. Putting it back in its socket is best, but if that's not possible, you can put it in saliva or milk to keep the roots moist.

Soft Tissue Injuries

For gums, cheeks, or lips that are injured or bleeding, stop the blood flow first, with gauze and gentle pressure. Next, contact our dental office so we can assess your situation over the phone and determine if you need immediate attention.

Cracked or Broken Dentures

Our team can help coordinate a denture repair with our trusted dental lab, so you don't have to spend much time without your teeth. Dr. Sukumar can discuss your options with you if it's time to think about replacing your denture.

A Chipped or Broken Tooth

Gather as many pieces of a broken tooth as you can and bring them with you to our Middletown dental office. Dr. Sukumar will discuss your options for restoring your tooth with you as there may be a few different choices.

We should smooth a mildly chipped tooth to avoid irritation to your tongue or other soft tissues.

Don't wait to call us at (732) 495-4444 in case of an emergency. We're here to help!
