The Invisalign® Process
Dental work in my practice always starts with a consultation. This initial visit includes an exam and conversation. I’ll ensure that Invisalign suits your orthodontic needs and smile goals. Likewise, you’ll tell me what you hope to achieve with clear braces.
If you proceed with treatment, a team member will take impressions of your teeth and forward the results to Invisalign. The Invisalign lab will create your clear aligners and send them to my office. When you come in to pick them up, a team member will show you how to wear them.
You must follow the instructions to achieve the results you’re looking for. For example, you should wear your aligners for about two weeks before changing to the next set. It would be best to keep them in for at least 22 hours daily.
Your orthodontic timeline may be several months or as long as two years.
After treatment, I’ll give you a custom retainer. This should be worn at night to prevent orthodontic relapse.
